Beef cattle and sheep breeds and meat products from England will be featured at the annual ‘Paris Show’ (Salon International de l’Agriculture, SIA) which runs from 21 February to 1 March 2015. This massive event is a national institution and attracts some 700 thousand visitors from town and country to enjoy insights into food production and to sample some of the resulting products.
The British livestock will be on the stand of the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX) in Hall 1 at the Porte de Versailles expo site. The team there will be pleased to take orders for any livestock breeds or germplasm from breeders in England. Entry to the show is free to international visitors on presentation of appropriate evidence. For more info see www.salon-agriculture.com For more info about AHDB/EBLEX’s presence and work in France see: www.ilovemeat.fror if you can’t get there, contact us at www.britishlivestockgenetics.com
Concurrently the SIMA show (principally agricultural machinery) takes place at the Paris Nord/Villepinte expo site from 22 to 26 February – see www.simaonline.com – so there’s lots to do and see on the agricultural front in Paris in the Spring.
