ExpoInter Outward Mission to Porto Alegre, Brazil (26 September - 4 October)

ExpoInter – 43rd International Exhibition of Livestock, Machinery & Agriculture www.expointer.rs.gov.br

Given the Coronavirus restrictions, the planned Outward Mission to ExpoInter in 2020 will not be going ahead. However, we are working with our UK partners and overseas contacts to continue to raise our profile and then bring over an Inward Mission of Mercosur sheep farmers to the UK as travel eases. Then, in 2021, we will hopefully return to promote British livestock genetics as we have done over many years.

For an idea of what is planned in 2021, please find below the 2020 arrangements…

TAP grant funding £2,500 per eligible company from which circa £1,800 participation fee will be deducted which includes local support of British Honorary Consul Denise Crawshaw Pellin, concierge and interpretation, contribution to UK Pavilion, daily transfers, barbecue, Anglo-Brazilian Sheep Seminar including speaking opportunity, join British Livestock brochure, graphics.

Main business days Mon 28 Sept – Fri 2 Oct 8am – 8.30pm so those attending should aim  arrive/depart over the weekend before/after the event at Salgado Filho International Airport (POA). Programme includes meetings with key breeders and Breed Associations, State Secretary of Agriculture, local and national sheep and agricultural bodies; Anglo-Brazilan Sheep Seminar; networking with other LATAM countries incl Argentina, Paraguay, Chile, Uruguay.
