I wanted to introduce you to a new CPD short course we are running at SRUC that may be of interest to your membership.

About Vetnomics

Vetnomics is a comprehensive CPD course upskilling practising vets, farmers and associated professionals in the contemporary field of livestock genomics. A unique course that provides an introduction to genetics and genomics in animal breeding and their use in practice. Trainees will acquire the latest knowledge on genotyping and sequencing, from the importance of phenotyping to the best assessment and management of animals based on their genetic merit. Vetnomics will give confidence in emerging technologies and data interpretation. The face to face course includes a practical demonstration by Neogen.

When is the next course?

The next face to face Vetnomics course will run on 22nd to 23rd November 2018 in Edinburgh at the Norton House Hotel.

The online course is now open for registration for those who cannot make the Nov date.
