UK Dairy Day 2017 takes place 8am-5.30pm at The International Centre, Telford, Shropshire, TF3 4JH. UK Dairy Day 2017 is free to attend and features over 300 dairy businesses, cattle show including The National Holstein Show and The National Ayrshire Show, seminars and practical demonstrations.
The dairy industry event was launched in 2014 following feedback from dairy farmers and the industry requiring a dedicated one-day event at a time of year when plans and decisions are being made for the winter. The event is in its 4th year and last year attracted 7,740 visitors, an 8.9% increase in the 2015 exhibitors of 7,112. The event brings together all facets of the dairy industry – farmers, students, breeders, geneticists, vets, feed merchants, dairy equipment suppliers and milk buyers as well as professional service providers, charities, and colleges. For anyone connected to the dairy industry, it’s the event of the year; an opportunity to network, share knowledge, learn and, most importantly, do business. UK Dairy Day is fortunate to have support from across the industry, with various businesses investing in sponsorship opportunities. Principal Partners returning to the 2017 event are Cogent Breeding, NWF Agriculture, Eprinex, Barclays and Holstein UK. The event hosts The National Holstein Show and The National Ayrshire Show along with classes for Brown Swiss, Dairy Shorthorn, Guernsey and Jersey breeds. UK Dairy Day is Dairy Pro accredited for three points Livestock Production Systems (LP), Business Management (BM) and Personal Development (PD) and will feature a CPD Knowledge Trail for visitors to gain at least 12 Dairy Pro points.
